Description
Send a "Shana Tova" that literally pops. The Hebrew greeting for "good year" graces the cover of this celebratory card, and when opened, a gorgeous 3D pomegranate tree springs to life. A Rosh Hashanah favorite, pomegranates symbolize righteousness, knowledge, and wisdom, and are said to hold 613 seeds, one for each mitzvah in the Torah. It's a little paper magic, perfect for wishing friends and family health and happiness in the year ahead.

Rose and Wise met at the Webb Institute, a naval engineering school, and reconnected at Harvard Business School. On a school trip to Vietnam they discovered kirigami, the art of intricately cut and folded paper, and paired it with the slice-form techniques used to design ships. The result is a card that opens into a small paper sculpture. The Boston company pitched on Shark Tank in 2015 and won investment from Kevin O'Leary, and it now makes pop-up bouquets, light-up cards and more. ModernTribe carries its Hanukkah cards: a gold menorah pop-up, a Menorah Lights pop-up and a Happy Hanukkah card that unfolds into a banner more than three feet long.
