Craft: Hand-painted folk-art woodwork

Sticks Object Art & Furniture was founded by Sarah Grant in 1992 in Des Moines, Iowa. It began with nativity sets, ornaments and candlestick holders and grew into furniture and home accessories.

The Sticks Handmade look comes from hand-drawn imagery, wood-burned contour lines and richly blended paint on birch, poplar and driftwood, all made at the Des Moines studio. In 2017 the studio launched Sincerely, Sticks, a printed line made in-house from original Sticks artwork. The brand has been featured in Better Homes & Gardens, on HGTV and in Bloomberg Businessweek. At ModernTribe, Sticks brings its folk-art warmth to Jewish homes with a half-moon wooden menorah, Lazy Susans, Boker Tov and Lilah Tov wall plaques, and cherry wood keepsake boxes.
