Sara's Prints started in 1985, when a special-education teacher and her husband, an educator and entrepreneur, decided children's pajamas were too boring and began designing their own in their garage. The first fabrics were whimsical, with bright colors, mermaids and funny monsters.

Safety was built in from the start: the pajamas are inherently flame resistant, made from cotton blended with modacrylic rather than fabric treated with topical chemicals. Today the brand sells alongside its sister label Widgeon. ModernTribe carries its Hanukkah sleepwear, including Fair Isle pajamas for kids and adults, decorate-your-own ColorMe sets and glow-in-the-dark menorah long johns.
