Description
This tallit filled with rich silvers, blacks and whites is called Midrash, inspired by the stories we have been studying for thousands of years, and the interpretations that make them every present in our daily lives.
A handwoven Advah tallit is truly unique. Made from a special blend of silk and handspun cotton, the tallit is heavenly soft and luxurious without being heavy. These are made in small batches and no two are exactly the same.
40% silk/60% handspun cotton. Certified Kosher wool tzitzit made in Israel.
It measures 24" x 78" and comes with a handmade bag for storing.

Advah is the Hebrew word for ripple, and Sarah Resnick chose it because she believes that taking the time to make a moment a little more beautiful has an uplifting, rippling effect on our lives and our communities. She started Advah Designs in 2015 in Boston, where she is an artist, a small business owner and part of the city's Jewish community.
Every Advah tallit begins as a watercolor painting in her Boston studio. Resnick then partners with weavers, printers and sew shops to bring each design to life. Handwoven styles are handspun and handwoven in India through a partnership with Indigo Handloom, silk and chiffon tallitot are printed and sewn in San Francisco, traditional woven styles are woven in Chicago, and the tzitzit strings are kosher, sourced from Israel.
At ModernTribe that means watercolor landscapes and trees printed on soft poly chiffon, flowing color on silk crepe de chine, and handwoven silk-and-cotton shawls, plus blessing prints for the wall. Her tallitot are made for people of all ages, sizes and genders, and she especially welcomes those wearing one for the first time.
