Yael Unique Design is the work of Moshe Yael, an industrial designer who studied design at the Kibbutzim College of Education in Israel. (Yael is his surname.) His focus is the mezuzah case, with clean, modern lines that let the letter shin carry the design.
He is known for handmade cases of concrete paired with wood or brass, made in a studio in Israel. The museum shop at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia describes his work as fusing tradition with an innovative, highly aesthetic design idiom.
ModernTribe carries his Modern David mezuzah in anodized aluminum, designed in Israel, in black and a warm cappuccino. It holds a scroll up to 4 inches and mounts with weather-resistant 3M adhesive, so there's no drilling into tile or ceramic.
