Logifaces is a small family company in Budapest, Hungary, led by architects Dániel Lakos and Zsanett Benedek. It began in 2012 as an entry in a game design competition run by MOME, Budapest's university of art and design: a puzzle of triangular concrete prisms inspired by the way 3D modeling software builds complex surfaces out of simple triangles.
That first game won the Hungarian Design Award and went on to a successful Indiegogo campaign. Then their Jewish roots pulled the idea toward the holiday table. The Miracle Edition Prisms Menorah turns nine concrete prisms into a menorah you can rearrange every night of Hanukkah.
The line now includes rippled hand-poured menorahs in gray and blue marble, minimalist seder plates and mezuzahs. Every piece is handcrafted in their Budapest workshop, so color and surface vary a little from one to the next, which is exactly the point.
