Guy Kochlani started Koch La Ni because, in his words, he couldn't find jewelry that reflected Jewish identity and a connection to Israel in a way that felt modern and meaningful.
His jewelry career began with OrderIsrael.com, a line of Israel-inspired pieces. In July 2024 he announced Koch La Ni as a broader contemporary jewelry brand based in Los Angeles, with OrderIsrael continuing as a special line within it. The motto is "Wear Your Identity Proudly," and the pieces are made for everyday wear, which the brand describes as waterproof and tarnish-resistant.
ModernTribe carries his Shema Star of David necklace, in 18k gold or 18k white gold plating over brass, carrying the words of the Shema in Hebrew, along with a dainty openwork Magen David that sits at the collarbone on a fine gold-plated chain. Both are made in the USA.
