What began as J & J Harper became Harper & Brothers in 1833 and, after a 1989 merger with Scotland's William Collins, HarperCollins. Today it is a News Corp company with headquarters in New York and London, and one of the "Big Five" English-language publishers. Its children's list is legendary: under editor Ursula Nordstrom, the house published Goodnight Moon, Where the Wild Things Are and Charlotte's Web.
ModernTribe's picks are for young readers: Happy Hanukkah, Curious George, a tabbed board book, and The Mysterious Missing Matzoh, a funny Passover story about a grandpa who hides the afikomen a little too well.
