The Oriental Elegance Challah and Shabbat Tray can be used for displaying challahs or candlesticks, adding a touch of elegance to your Shabbat table. Each board consists of a delicate laser-cut stainless steel pattern placed between two layers of tempered glass. The combination of stainless steel and glass gives the board a sophisticated look and ensures its durability. To enhance the board's stability, four stainless steel legs are included.
These legs not only add height and elegance but can also be easily removed for convenient cleaning and maintenance. One of the incorporated texts is from the famous Erev Shabbat song "Lecha Dodi," which says, "Let's go, my beloved, to meet the bride, and let us welcome the presence of Shabbat." Dorit Judaica is the work of Dorit Klein, a seventh-generation Israeli who painted from a young age and spent many years in commercial graphic design before turning to her real love, Jewish art.
She weaves Jewish texts, blessings and prayers into her designs, pairing traditional paper-cut style patterns with modern laser cutting. The result is bold and colorful but rooted in tradition, across menorahs, mezuzahs, seder plates, Shabbat candlesticks, challah trays and home blessing wall hangings, with floral and pomegranate motifs running through much of the line.
It's also a workplace with a conscience: Dorit employs workers with special needs through Supported Employment to help complete her pieces.
