Auburn Jewelry is the Westchester, New York, studio of Samantha Levine; Auburn is her middle name. She fell for metalsmithing as an incoming freshman touring the metals studio at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, where she later founded the jewelry club. At Skidmore College she majored in American studies and minored in jewelry and metals, then went on to law school.
Auburn Jewelry started while she was still a law student, in a corner of her parents' basement that she asked for as a Hanukkah present and turned into a studio. The business became her career. Auburn is known for handcrafted charms and connectors in bright enamel and sterling silver, including fully custom designs with handwriting, pet silhouettes and logos, and in 2022 the studio added permanent jewelry.
The Jewish pieces ModernTribe has carried from Auburn are mini chai pendant necklaces in enamel colors like navy and light blue.
