Modern Mitzvah is the Jewish illustration, stationery and design studio of Laura Bercovich in Scottsdale, Arizona. It started, somewhat by accident, in 2018: a friend asked Laura to design a baby naming certificate for her daughter, then several more friends asked, then came requests for home blessings, and the line snowballed from there.
Laura is a Jewish mom, illustrator and graphic designer, and her husband Justin handles the finances and helps run the wholesale and partnership side. Her designs are clean, modern and cheerful, built for Jewish holidays and life-cycle moments like baby namings, bar and bat mitzvahs and weddings. Her greeting cards and artwork are sold in temple gift shops, Jewish museums and major retailers including Target and Trader Joe's.
At ModernTribe you'll find her Hebrew blessing prints, from leafy Star of David home blessings to an Alef Bet nursery print, along with punny Hanukkah cards, Jewish wall calendars, paper plates and napkins, and the Ezzie Menorah Pick for clearing wax out of a menorah.
