Claylicious is the ceramics studio of Eshkar Butbul, a self-taught potter in California. She was first introduced to clay through a pottery class as a little girl in Israel, and her love of the craft grew from there. She loves working with wet clay and looks forward to opening the kiln after each firing.
Claylicious started in a garage studio, and her mantra shows in every piece: "Like life, I like things being perfectly un-perfect. Therefore, my work will sometimes look similar, but will hardly ever be exact." Each piece is handcrafted, quirks and all, and she draws inspiration from family, nature, music and friends. For the Jewish table she makes pieces like ceramic hamsa tea light holders and a rustic ceramic kiddush cup finished in 24k gold.
