Description

The earthy philosophy of the phrase, This Too Shall Pass or in Hebrew, Gam Zeh Yaavor can be traced back to ancient folktales of Persia and Turkey. This charm has the phrase in both Hebrew and English. It is the perfect gift to temper the hard times and keep you steady any time, (and it's a favorite saying of artist Emily's grandpa, one of the wisest, most content people she's ever known!)

This 1/2 sterling silver circle comes on 7" oxidized sterling 3.2mm cable chain. Option to add a chai heart.

King Solomon ordered his minister to find that which would make a sad man happy and a happy man sad. The minister traveled the kingdom for six months, the night before it was due he wearily asked a peddler in the old city of Jerusalem if he had such an item. The peddler told him to wait and disappeared. He came back with a ring, engraved "this too shall pass". Upon receipt, King Solomon smiled. This too shall pass. Perfect.

More about Emily Rosenfeld

Emily started making her own jewelry in 1991 in Oakland, CA, running her business out of a Murphy bed closet. Now settled in Western Massachusetts, with a view of birch trees and a river she swims in during the summer, her studio is in a converted factory building filled with other artists. She feels continually inspired to develop new designs and play with new materials and techniques.

She is privileged and thankful to be part of the immensely supportive and loving community of craftspeople and crafts buyers. Making her work makes her very happy and she hopes owning it brings a measure of joy as well.
