The Spode Mazel Tov Plate is the perfect gift to celebrate life's many happy events. The unique square shape is sized right to serve desserts and other treats. The design is based on historic Judaic manuscripts from the 1880's, influenced by early ceramic tile motifs, and features the traditional colors of blue and white.

  • Material: Fine Porcelain
  • Dimensions: 9" across
  • Product Care: Dishwasher Safe, Warm Oven Only, Microwave Safe, Freezer Safe
  • The design is based on the signature Spode transferware technique famous in the ceramic industry since the 18th century

It is a sophisticated design, high quality, and has a traditional look. The design is interpreted from historic Jewish manuscripts from the 1800s, which were based on early tile motifs influenced by prevailing Persian styles. They respectfully feature blue and white, the colors of the flag of Israel. The dominant motif is of stylized flowers, and vines interweaved on most pieces amongst the straight-edged Star of David.

Spode has been making English pottery since Josiah Spode founded the company in Stoke-on-Trent in 1770, and it is now part of the Portmeirion Group.

Its Judaica collection brings that heritage to the Jewish calendar. The designs are based on historic Judaic manuscripts from the 1880s, influenced by early ceramic tile motifs, with stylized flowers and vines in traditional blue and white. The seder plate illustrates each ritual item along with its name. At ModernTribe the porcelain collection includes a menorah, kiddush cup, challah board, Star of David serving dishes and platters.
