Description

Like prototypical Jonathan Adler, something complex is taken to its most basic form and stylized. In the case of the owl menorah merger, have fun seeing where the owl ends and the menorah begins.

An elemental animal form with subtle layers of pattern and decoration, finished with a soft satin matte glaze. Each piece starts its journey in Jonathan's Soho pottery studio where he and his team hand-sculpt the original model in clay. The prototype is then sent to the workshop in Peru where skilled artisans produce each menorah. Unexpected and original animal menorah.

Fits standard Hanukkah candles. Candles not included; tapered candles recommended.

SIZE 13" W 4" D 8.25" H.

Do not leave any lit menorahs unattended.

Jonathan Adler is a potter, designer and author whose brand began when Barneys bought his pots in 1993. Five years later he opened his first store in SoHo. His look is happy, glamorous and a little irreverent: interiors that are seriously designed but don't take themselves too seriously.

His Judaica follows the same rule. At ModernTribe you'll find his matte white porcelain Dachshund Menorah, a very long menorah for a very long dog, and his Elephant Menorah, a playful mid-century take on an animal form. The collection has also included the Vienna Menorah, hand-cast in solid brass from clay models sculpted in his SoHo studio, plus mezuzahs, dreidel ornaments and a seder plate.
