Modular Magnetic Matzah Plate - Small by Laura Cowan
Description
This spectacular, sculptural piece was inspired by the Tel Aviv sea view of yachts on the ocean. Laura Cowan perfected a technique using hidden magnets, so the steel shapes can be moved to change the personality of the piece.
Created in high quality shiny stainless steel, the top pieces are hand curved into gentle waves and are attached to the anodized aluminum base by hidden neodymium magnets.
Small Rectangular Version. The tray is modular and you choose how to place the waves. It can also be used as a napkin holder.
Size: 26 x 17cm / 10.5 x 6.5 inch.
Materials: Stainless Steel. Anodized Aluminum. Neodymium

More about Laura Cowan
Many of Laura's Judaica designs are inspired by the Sixties mission to land a man on the moon. Although this was achieved even before Laura was born, she was fascinated by the hype and excitement generated by the race to the moon. Laura also loves the irony of a futuristic design based on what is now history. Combining this with her Jewish upbringing and identity, Laura has produced many stunning pieces of modern Judaica.
