The Knotty Dane is the woodworking line of Mark Petersen in Stillwater, Minnesota, a lawyer by training and a real estate investor by trade. The son of a Danish immigrant, he grew up around mid-century Danish design, and it shows in the clean lines of his Judaica. ModernTribe carries his hardwood menorahs, with wood choices such as cherry, white ash, black walnut, white oak, hard maple and African mahogany, and a modern hardwood mezuzah with a laser-engraved shin.
