Description
Perfect for Jewish mourning ceremonies, this set has everything needed to create a beautiful Yahrzeit ritual. In addition to our artfully designed candle holder, the set also includes a candle, matches, a memorial stone, and printed guidebook with a moving October 7th Memorial prayer. This thoughtfully curated memorial set is designed to honor and reflect the spirit and solemnity of Jewish tradition, providing a beautiful way to commemorate and remember loved ones.
Chai Candle Holder An artistic interpretation of the Hebrew word “Chai” (life), this candle holder transforms the yud into a soul flame, sheltered within a moon-etched chet. This design embodies the enduring Jewish spirit, the passage of time, and the sanctity of life. When illuminated by candlelight, it serves as a visual meditation, deepening the connection to memory and tradition.
Sodalite Memorial Stone Sodalite, with its deep blue hue and calming properties, represents divinity and spiritual wisdom. Use this stone during meditation or mourning to provide a sense of peace, continuing the Jewish custom of placing rocks at gravesites to honor the deceased.
Traditional Yahrzeit Candle Yahrzeit, meaning “anniversary” in Yiddish, is marked by lighting a candle on the eve of a death’s anniversary according to the Hebrew calendar. This candle, also known as Ner Neshama (“Soul Candle”), burns for 24 hours to honor a loved one’s memory, making it a meaningful ritual during moments of reflection and remembrance.
Star of David Match Box This elegant matchbox, featuring the comforting phrase “May Their Memory Be a Blessing,” serves as a gentle reminder that each flame kindled carries the enduring light and memory of those we honor.
This set offers a meaningful and beautiful way to observe traditional Jewish customs, bringing light, peace, and comfort to those remembering their loved ones.
Set includes:
Do not leave any lit candles unattended.

About the brand
Adara Rituals
Adara Rituals is Tara Townsend's modern Jewish lifestyle line of hand-beaded holiday decor, candles and ritual objects, named for her daughter.

- Hand-beaded holiday decor
Adara Rituals started with a search that came up empty. Tara Townsend, a Wharton graduate and the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, went looking for Hanukkah decor that was festive, beautiful and meaningful, and couldn't find it. So she created it, and named the company for her daughter's Hebrew name, Adara. She wanted pieces that felt like they were "carrying the light of the Jewish people forward."
Each item has its own making story: hand-beaded pieces from a female-owned artisan workshop in India, metalwork etched and forged with centuries-old tools and techniques, textiles knit in small batches by a family mill, and candles poured by hand. Alongside the objects, the brand offers updated blessings and ritual guides written in the language of the Divine Feminine.
The range runs from beaded garlands, ornaments and placemats to Star of David throw blankets, candleholders and Jewish-themed scented candles.
