Idlewild Co. is a boutique paper goods and gift company founded in 2010 by artist and designer Katie Gastley. It began with a tiny pop-up at the Renegade Craft Festival in McCarren Park, Brooklyn, where shoppers loved her hand-painted Brooklyn neighborhood prints and asked her to design wedding stationery from the artwork.
The commissions grew into greeting cards, art prints and hand-bound notebooks that debuted at the National Stationery Show in 2010, and later into home goods. The company moved to Vero Beach, Florida, in 2013. It's not a Judaica brand, but ModernTribe carries its deli-happy side: a bagels tote, a round bagel pillow, bagel tea towel and oven mitt set, hamsa and evil eye trinket dishes, and Hanukkah cards.
