Susan Fullenbaum, who works under the name Stained Glass Designs, has been making stained glass art for more than 30 years. Her work has ranged from boxes and picture frames to large window panels, and her Judaica is art that celebrates life-cycle events, illustrates Jewish customs or has a place in ceremonial life. Over the years that has included commissioned mezuzahs, seder plates and menorahs.
"I receive from my art as much as I put into it," she has said, and her artist bio credits her Jewish subjects with enriching her own life. Her commissioned pieces have been displayed in galleries, synagogues and private homes. She has taught stained glass classes, trained Judaic educators at national conventions and advised apprentices, and she has been a member of the American Guild of Judaic Artists.
At ModernTribe you'll find her handmade glass candle box for Shabbat or Hanukkah candles and a glass-and-metal Pickleball Menorah, both handmade in the USA. Because each piece is made by hand, the glass texture varies a little from one to the next.
