SURI reimagines Jewish tradition for a new generation. Founder Dor Suri was born and raised in Israel to an American mom and an Israeli dad, with her heart split between contemporary design and her Jewish roots. When she began styling her own home she found either heavy, overly traditional Judaica or sleek decor with no heritage at all. She refused to choose. SURI, named for her middle name, is a hands-on husband-and-wife business she runs with Alon, from sourcing to packaging. Its look is clean and minimalist, rooted in ancient symbols. At ModernTribe that means mezuzah cases, from Chagall-inspired designs to marble and concrete finishes.
