  • On the day of the Yahrzeit, it is customary to light a 24 Hour Candle at home to honor the memory of the deceased. The Jewish Day begins at night, so the candle should be lit in the evening. Even if the candle burns for longer than twenty-four hours, it should not be extinguished. If the Yahrtzeit falls on a Saturday, the candle must be lit on Friday afternoon before Sunset.

Yahrzeit LED flickering candle

It is beautiful and will stay on until all of the hostages come home. It honors all who lost their lives on October 7th, all the IDF soldiers who have sacrificed their lives, and keeping the hope alive for the hostages.

I had been burning candles every night since October 7, 2023. I do get concerned at night with the flame so now with this love lovely flickering electric device I can keep it glowing day and night until all of the hostages are home every one of them whatever condition they are in we need all our people back.

Enchanting light

I had ordered this light in preparation for sitting shivah for my husband, it did arrive in time. I found it comforting to leave it lit 24 hours a day. My only issue is that it is a lot smaller than I expected. I brough the light with me when I brought my husband's remains to Az for his final resting place and the Az family really appreciated having it as well. I left the light with them, as it now means something different to me.
