Maurice "Robbie" Robinson published the first Western Pennsylvania Scholastic in 1920 from a sewing room in his parents' home in Wilkinsburg. Today the company is headquartered in New York City, and its school book clubs and book fairs are a fixture of American elementary school. It holds the US publishing rights to Harry Potter and The Hunger Games, and its mascot is Clifford the Big Red Dog. ModernTribe carries three Hanukkah picture books: How Do Dinosaurs Say Happy Chanukah?, Peppa Pig: Happy Hanukkah! and Little Dreidel Learns to Spin!, all easy picks for reading aloud by candlelight.
