In 2016, Purim begins the evening of Wednesday, March 23, 2016 and ends in the evening of Thursday, March 24, 2016.
Purim is Judaism's most joyous holiday. It is actually a mitzvah (good deed) to feast and get drunk on this day. It's also a mitzvah to give food to your friends and charity to the poor. It's traditional to dress in costume and eat hat-shaped cookies. What's not to like about Purim?
