Craft: Design-forward jigsaw puzzles

Piecework Puzzles launched in 2019, founded by Rachel Hochhauser and Jena Wolfe. It grew out of Hochhauser's puzzle obsession on a rainy weekend in Yosemite. At a time when a minimalist look dominated most brands, she wanted to go the other way, and Piecework's jigsaws are bold, saturated and staged like little still-life worlds you can lose yourself in. The company has since acquired the design brand Areaware.

That deli-counter sense of humor fits right in at ModernTribe, with puzzles like Psychedelicatessen, Rise & Shine Bagel, Tchotchke, Oy to the World and a round Hanukkah Cookie Tin.
