Description

Protect your Shabbat and holiday table in style with a set of two laser-cut cork trivets. Set beneath a warm challah, a simmering pot, or a fresh-from-the-oven dish, they shield your linens and surfaces from heat while adding a considered detail to the table.

Choose the hamsa for its long association with protection, or the Star of David as a centerpiece of celebration, either one cut cleanly from high-quality cork in a warm natural tone. Handmade in small batches in New York, the pair works across the holidays and everyday meals alike, and makes a housewarming or hostess gift that feels both useful and heartfelt.

Small-batch modern Judaica

Ariel Tidhar was born and raised in Chicago in an American-Israeli family, and her fifth-grade yearbook already listed her future job as fashion designer. She earned a BFA in fashion design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn in 2016, and while she was there she realized she could merge her craft with her Jewish identity.

She founded her namesake brand in 2018. It's modern Judaica with a sprinkle of Jewish humor and a lot of color, playful pieces inspired by Jewish culture, nostalgia and everyday joy. The line runs from mezuzahs and tzedakah boxes to glitter Magen David and dreidel earrings, and most of it is handmade in small batches in her New York studio.

At ModernTribe you'll find her acrylic dreidels, a gelt coin purse, cork Star of David coasters and trivets, pomegranate and Magen David napkin rings, and statement earrings.
