Painted ketubahs and Judaica

Anna Abramzon paints what she calls soulful, whimsical art with a Jewish twist. Born in the Soviet Union, she came to the United States as a refugee at seven and grew up in Chicago. She couldn't speak English when she arrived, but she could draw, and art became her way of telling stories and making friends. She earned a BFA in drawing and painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

After art school she moved to Jerusalem, where she met her husband, Patricio, and got engaged six days after arriving. Instead of commissioning a ketubah, she painted their own, and a Judaica practice grew from there. Now based in Los Angeles, she makes ketubahs, painted tallitot, mezuzah cases, blessings for the home and art prints. After the North Bay fires in Sonoma and Napa counties, she began replacing ketubahs for people who lost theirs in natural disasters.

At ModernTribe you'll find her Love Tree mezuzahs, including wedding, new baby and lesbian couple designs, personalized home and baby blessings, and painted tallitot like Starry Galaxy and Ocean Waves.
