- Handmade textured stoneware menorahs
Laura Kastin is a ceramic artist working in Brooklyn, New York, where she shapes, glazes and fires every menorah by hand. Each design is made once, so the menorah on your table is the only one of its kind.
Her surfaces are the signature. The clay is textured until it reads almost like carved stone, then finished in variegated glazes that pool and shift, from deep turquoise and teal to speckled black, white and gray, sometimes flecked with warm tan. A row of metal candle cups runs along the top, with the shamash set apart on its own raised step.
The stoneware is fired to 2232 degrees Fahrenheit, which makes each piece sturdy enough to light every Hanukkah and hand down for generations. Browse her one-of-a-kind ceramic menorahs below and find the one that feels like yours.
