Description

Perhaps the most important piece Marla Studio has ever made. "Ein Od Milvado" translates to "There is nothing besides the Creator," a verse from Deuteronomy 4:35 that Kabbalists believe shields a person from danger when meditated upon. But it's more than theology. It's empirically true, no matter your belief, faith, or spiritual orientation.

This pendant is a meditation on the wonder and miracle of existence itself, and the magnificent, mysterious gift of it all. Creation is happening continually. We're just lucky to partake in this wild ride.

Craft
Hebrew and Kabbalah jewelry

MarLa Studio makes jewelry with an edge and a reason. "None of us has skin thick enough for this world," says MarLa, the artist behind the studio. "We put on some metal and leather and feel transformed." Each piece is handmade in the USA from recycled metals and ships in biodegradable, recyclable packaging, with influences that run from 1970s New York punk to the archaeology of the early Roman Empire.

The Jewish side of the line is its heart. MarLa works in Hebrew and Kabbalah, including a collection built on the 72 Names of God, with prayer excerpts and sayings like "Gam Zeh Ya'avor" (this too shall pass) in Hebrew on one side and English on the other. At ModernTribe you'll find her sterling silver and bronze necklaces and rings, from Hebrew initial signets to "All the World Is a Narrow Bridge," made to wear every day.
