The name came first: Moo G was the nickname of Anna-Aliza's daughter, Celia. In 2008 Anna-Aliza started making hair clips for her baby, and the shop, Moo G Clips, began with babies and toddlers in mind. As Celia grew and her style changed, the shop evolved with her.
In April 2023 the family traveled to Israel for Passover, Anna-Aliza's first visit in 23 years, and she says it fed her Jewish soul like never before. Six months later came October 7. Her maternal grandparents survived the Holocaust, and in the months that followed she began designing openly Jewish pieces: spinner rings, earrings, necklaces and the Star of David hair claw clips that became her bestsellers. She rebranded as Moo G Accessories, with the tagline "where style meets Jewish soul," and ships orders from her studio in Seattle.
The claw clips at ModernTribe are made of shimmering acetate engraved with a Star of David, in pink, cream, and blue and white.
