Description

The Arabesque Garden Original Ketubah is a one-of-a-kind watercolor illumination, first created by Mickie Caspi in 1997 and painted entirely by her own hand. This is an original work of art, not a reproduction.

A flourishing garden unfolds across the page, with flowers that seem to bloom from spring through fall. They rise and curve around a graceful arabesque opening, meeting at the top as if gently embracing, creating a sacred space for your marriage vows. The composition feels alive and romantic, yet refined, with rich watercolor tones layered carefully to give depth and movement to every petal and vine.

Each original is hand-drawn and hand-painted on archival Strathmore paper. The vibrancy and subtle variation in color can only come from true watercolor applied by hand. No two pieces are ever identical.

Your personalized text is individually calligraphed by Mickie herself at the center of the design. This is not typeset. It is written slowly and intentionally, shaped to your names, dates, and chosen wording. Mickie works fluently in both English and Hebrew and has devoted more than three decades exclusively to creating ketubot. That experience is evident in the balance of the artwork, the confidence of the lettering, and the care given to every detail.

Choosing a ketubah is often the first artistic decision a couple makes together. An original like this requires time, focus, and the artist’s full attention to your text. That is why it stands apart from offset lithographs and giclée prints. It is created for you and meant to live in your home as both a sacred document and a fine art.
