Description

Modern, meaningful, and quietly powerful, this Mondrian-style mezuzah case in shades of blues, greens, black, and white brings bold design and deeper intention to your doorway. Inspired by the geometric style of Piet Mondrian, it combines contemporary design with timeless Jewish tradition.

Created in response to the events of October 7th, this design reflects resilience and hope. Blue and white alongside shades of green symbolizing life continuing forward, even through grief and challenge. Handmade in Israel, each piece is kiln-fired to achieve its unique mosaic effect, then mounted on a sleek black aluminum case for a clean, modern finish that still honors tradition.

Fused-glass Judaica

Shevi B Glass Creations is the fused-glass studio of Shevi Berman, who designs and handcrafts Judaica from her home studio in Israel. She arranges colored glass, including chopped glass called frit, and fires it in a kiln until the pieces fuse into one bright surface.

Her path into glass began after her mother died, when she discovered glass fusing as a creative outlet for grief and healing. What started as therapy became a passion, and one of her most meaningful designs is a yahrzeit memorial candle holder, made to honor loved ones and bring comfort in times of remembrance.

At ModernTribe her work includes yahrzeit candle holders, fused glass menorahs in floral and stone designs, a Mondrian-style mezuzah, the Healer mezuzah made to honor caregivers, and a floral matzah tray for Passover. Her mezuzahs, yahrzeit holders and matzah plates are also sold by the Jewish Museum shop in New York.
