Stitch and Stone is the jewelry brand of Michele, a born-and-raised New Yorker who moved to Austin in August 2011 looking for a friendlier, warmer and less stressful life. She built the business at Austin's South Congress Market, where weekends at the booth introduced her to hundreds of people who supported the new company.
Stitch and Stone now has a shop in Wimberley, Texas, and also sells at markets around the area. The focus is on-trend jewelry at approachable prices, and Michele likes working with brides on pieces for the wedding day, showers and bridesmaid gifts.
Her Jewish jewelry stays light and wearable: a LOVE necklace with a sparkling Star of David standing in for the "o," a convertible butterfly Star of David necklace, and rainbow crystal and enamel-bead Star of David necklaces, alongside hamsa and evil eye styles in sterling silver and gold vermeil.
