Hamsas by Regina is the one-woman studio of Regina, who makes framed wall hamsas by hand in Michigan. At the end of 2023, while going through heartbreak, she picked up a pencil and started sketching, and what came out became the design she still makes.
She does every step herself, from the laser cutting to the layers to each brushstroke. Each hamsa is built from layers of painted wood set against natural linen in a clear acrylic frame, and the layered design reveals a subtle Star of David. Pieces are painted to order, so no two are exactly alike.
The hamsa has long stood for protection, blessing and good fortune, and Regina wanted to honor that while making something that feels modern and personal. She pairs it with color: ModernTribe offers her ombre hamsas in solid shades from red to purple or in neon pink, orange, yellow and green.
