Every sweet symbol of the new year, gathered in one place. A ripe red apple, a honey jar with its dipper, green leaves, and golden honeycomb frame a Hebrew Shana Tova greeting on this round tempered glass board, with a pomegranate crowning the center in a stained-glass-inspired design.

Slice and serve challah on it, fill it with apples and honey, or leave it out as a centerpiece all season - a thoughtful gift for hosts, newlyweds, and anyone beginning the year in a new home.

Printed tempered-glass challah boards

The Rabbi's Wife Shop began in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, when its founder found herself craving more beauty, connection, humor and Jewish joy. The name is literal. When she met her husband, he told her he was a "professional NJB," which turned out to mean he was a rabbi. They dated in Los Angeles, moved together to a new congregation, married, had three daughters and opened their family to a fourth.

Her signature piece is the glass challah board: a tempered-glass Shabbat tray printed with a stained-glass-style design. At ModernTribe that means New York, Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago and Delray Beach scenes, baseball, football and hockey boards with a choice of team, a New York Knicks board, and round Rosh Hashanah boards of apples, pomegranates, honey and honeycomb around a Hebrew Shana Tova greeting. Challah covers, journals, mugs and tees round out her own shop.

She wants Judaism to feel close rather than far away or intimidating: warm, beautiful, funny, stylish and still deeply meaningful.
