NESSI comes from Samantha and Kara, two moms and lifelong friends who rode the school bus together in New York and have been celebrating side by side for more than 25 years, through a semester in Rome, big careers and raising their families.
Somewhere between all those holiday dinners and birthday parties they noticed a gap on the table: party goods that felt fun and elevated but also reflected the Jewish customs they keep at home. So they made their own. The name says it all: a little extra happiNESS for the moments you share.
Every NESSI design is hand illustrated, from a latke wearing a dollop of sour cream (and a very pleased smile) to gold foil chocolate gelt and dreidels with a face on every side. They sweat the small stuff too, like heavy 500gsm plates that hold up to the greasiest latke, plus Star of David plates dressed in almond blossoms that are pretty enough for Shabbat dinner.
