Arielle Zorger started painting to save her own sanity. Living in Washington, DC, working a job she no longer felt passionate about and struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety as a first-time mom, she decided one day to find a new hobby, drove to a local art shop and bought a few blank canvases. "1 canvas turned into 2, 2 turned into 3, 3 turned into 50. I couldn't stop," she told CanvasRebel. She had been looking for fun, colorful, modern Judaica for her daughter's room and could never find any, so she painted her own.
She opened her Etsy shop in May 2019, and the art therapy became her life's work. Today she is a full-time artist and mom of two in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, painting in simple brush strokes, splatter paint and bold color, with pieces made to order. Her work has been featured by The Jewish Museum, the Weitzman and the Sydney Jewish Museum. At ModernTribe you'll find her holiday table runners, tea towels and glass serving boards.
