Hanukkah Gifts for Kids

Hanukkah celebrates when Jews reclaimed the temple and celebrates the miracle of small jar of oil for the lamps miraculously lasted for eight days instead of one. During this fun holiday, Jewish families light candles on a menorah, play games with dreidels, exchange gifts, and eat traditional foods like potato pancakes (latkes) and jelly-filled donuts (sufganiyot).

On Hanukkah, children most play dreidel, a traditional game using a four-sided spinning top with Hebrew letters that represent the saying "A great miracle happened there" (or here if you are in Israel). They also can play with Hanukkah crafts and sing festive Hanukkah songs.

Popular Hanukkah gifts for kids are often related to the holiday in some way and include toys, clothes, books, and games. Hanukkah-themed items like toy dreidels or kids' menorahs are also a great choice.

Traditionally, kids receive one gift for each of the eight nights of Hanukkah. But the number of presents varies by family. Some give larger gifts on one or two nights.
