Sanctuary of B’nai Jeshurun Tallit

Description
This tallit features an intricate Moorish-style tile from 1918, inspired by the sanctuary of B’nai Jeshurun on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Along the sides flows the phrase: Da lifnei mi atah omed - “Know before whom you stand.” Once seen as a warning, these words can be understood as something gentler: a call to be fully present. With rich history and spiritual symbolism, this piece reminds the wearer that prayer is not only about reverence, but about love and presence.
- Handmade in the USA
- 72" x 24" (shawl-style fit)
- Medium-weight twill fabric with satin trim
