Description

This tallit is inspired by a stained-glass window in the sanctuary of B’nai Jeshurun in Manhattan. During the early days of the pandemic, when the synagogue began livestreaming services, this window remained visible behind the service leaders. On the back of the tallit, in curved red text above the sun, is a line from the first of the two blessings said before the Shema each morning.

The text on the tallit reads in Hebrew: Cause a new light to shine on Zion, and may we all soon be worthy of its illumination.
