Description

The choshen was the breastplate worn by the High Priest, the chief religious official of the Israelites until the fall of the Second Temple. This tallit's design, inspired by a stained-glass window in the artist’s synagogue, reimagines the breastplate through text. Verses from Parashat Pekudei (Exodus 39:8-26) form the shape of the jeweled choshen on the back, with chains on the front.
