Hand-Painted Oval Floral Original Ketubah by Mickie Caspi
Description
The Oval Floral Original Ketubah was first painted by Mickie Caspi in 1991 and remains one of her enduring classic compositions. This is a true original watercolor, hand-drawn and painted entirely by the artist on archival Strathmore paper.
A bountiful garland of flowers forms an elegant oval, gracefully encircling the space for your marriage vows. The shape feels intentional and intimate, as though the blooms themselves are safeguarding the promises within. Layered watercolor washes give depth and dimension to each petal, creating movement, richness, and a softness that only original paint can achieve.
This is not a print and is not digitally produced. Every brushstroke is applied by hand.
Your personalized text is individually calligraphed by Mickie at the center of the design. It is written slowly and precisely, shaped around your names, dates, and chosen wording. With more than three decades devoted exclusively to ketubah artistry, Mickie brings a seasoned eye to balance, spacing, and the subtle rhythm of Hebrew and English lettering.
Choosing a ketubah is often the first artistic decision you make together as a couple. An original such as this requires time, concentration, and the artist’s full attention to your text. That is what distinguishes it from offset lithographs and giclée reproductions. It is created specifically for you and intended to live in your home as both sacred document and fine art.
