Description
Bring a colorful, one-of-a-kind touch to Hanukkah with this handcrafted ceramic menorah in a soft blue fade glaze that shifts from deep to pale across the piece. Lovingly handmade by designer and artist Melissa 'Feldi' Felderman in her home studio, each menorah carries the small variations that come with working by hand, so no two fades are quite alike. At 11" long it fits most standard Hanukkah candles, and its clean lines make it just as at home on a shelf in March as on the table in December. A thoughtful Jewish gift for anyone drawn to handmade things with real character.

Feldi Studios is the ceramic Judaica line of Melissa Felderman, a Jewish ceramic product designer whose friends call her Feldi. She makes ritual objects for today's design sensibilities, and when she isn't in the studio she teaches in the College of Communication, Media, Design, and Information at the University of Colorado Boulder.
The spark was a clay menorah she made for her mom and her sister. When she designed a new menorah for the next Hanukkah and posted progress pictures on Instagram, Jewish friends flooded her DMs asking to buy one. She had also shopped at Bloomingdale's and Neiman Marcus without finding Judaica that fit a millennial or Gen X home, so she set out to make it herself, with halachic requirements as her first standard.
Her process combines computer-aided design, digital fabrication and the ancient craft of ceramics. At ModernTribe, that means her handmade Swiggle menorah in glazes like blue fade, cream and rainbow sherbet, along with Star of David Pom honey pots and ceramic Shabbat candlesticks.
