Kidrobot began when Budnitz started importing vinyl toys from Japan and opened a store in San Francisco. It moved to New York City in 2003, later relocated to Colorado and is now based in Broomfield. It made its name with collectible vinyl: the rabbit-eared Dunny and the blank, customize-it-yourself Munny. In 2020 it teamed up with The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Dunnys inspired by works in the museum's collection.
Yummy World is the squishier side of the brand, a cast of smiling food plush. At ModernTribe you'll find the Passover matzo triplets, Mitzi, Mika and Alfie, and a trio of Hanukkah cookies named Dizzy, Norah and Lenny.
