Dear Deer Crafts

Dear Deer Crafts is Jordan's small shop for personalized cherry and maple challah boards engraved with "Shabbat Shalom" in Hebrew and your own text.

Craft: Engraved cherry and maple wood

Dear Deer Crafts started the way plenty of good small businesses do. Jordan, the owner and maker, kept making crafts and gifts for friends and family until it all turned into a small business.

The line centers on wood for the Jewish table. Challah boards come in cherry, maple or a mix of the two woods, and each carries "Shabbat Shalom" in Hebrew plus custom engraved text, like a family name or every grandchild's name for a bubbie. ModernTribe carries the flat cursive and round Shabbat Shalom challah boards, plus a maple apples and honey board inscribed "Shana Tova" in Hebrew for the Rosh Hashanah table.

Every board is made to order, so it can take a week or two to ship. Each one is hand-conditioned with food-grade oil before it goes out. Because it's real wood, grain and color vary from board to board, and the maker recommends oiling it once a month.
