Description

The Whimsical Blue Ketubah by Jessica Tamar Deutsch draws on the rich visual tradition of Persian ketubahs, reimagined with a bright, storybook warmth that feels celebratory from every angle.

Bold botanicals, tulips, and potted flowers fill the border, while a pair of lions face each other at the base; playfully proud and full of character.

Printed as a fine art giclée on German Etching paper, this ketubah carries both the texture and the spirit of something handmade. Truly a piece of art as festive and meaningful as the occasion it marks.

Illustrated ketubahs

Jessica Tamar Deutsch is an artist and illustrator who studied illustration at Parsons. Her studio practice covers fine art, illustration, ketubahs and Judaica, made, as she puts it, to be art you're proud to display in your home and include in your most important life-cycle moments.

Her best-known book is The Illustrated Pirkei Avot (Print-O-Craft Press, 2017), an illustrated take on the classic collection of Jewish ethical teachings.

Her ketubahs are where many couples meet her work. The four at ModernTribe range from the Jerusalem Ketubah, which weaves together landscapes at the heart of Jewish heritage, to the Pomegranate Grove, the calm Green Forest (available with metallic foil), and the Whimsical Blue, which draws on the visual tradition of Persian ketubahs.
