Description

This exquisite Alhambra Seder Plate Set  by Liz Lauter is designed to be big, beautiful, and ornate, yet compact enough to fit comfortably on any table without taking up too much space. Its elevated design creates a stunning focal point while preserving precious table real estate.

The six-pointed Star of David aligns perfectly with the six symbolic spaces on the Seder plate, each featuring a shallow dish that fits neatly into the star’s triangle points. During the Seder, each dish can be lifted individually to display its contents and reveal the Hebrew labels painted on the main plate beneath.

When not in use as a Seder plate, the pedestal platter doubles as an elegant centerpiece, ideal for serving desserts, cheeses, or fruit.

More about Liz Lauter

“Creating Judaica is like bringing the most honored guest to a celebration.”
Creating Judaica became an expression of Liz Lauter's Jewish roots growing up in multi-cultural San Francisco surrounded by Mexican folk art and Italian culture. She always worked with clay, always painted, and always gardened, so studying
Botany and Painting in college deepened her interests. After her family spent 4 years living in Israel, the Islamic arts and design captivated her. The nature in Israel and its connection to Judaism became another avenue of design for her. It all is woven together in her ceramic “fabric” of Judaica art. Each hand made ceramic piece is unique, using traditional Italian majolica ceramic techniques and hand painted colors over a white glaze. She celebrate all of the irregularities of hand-made-ness as evidence of the presence of the artist.
