The Hebrew word for peace resonates as a powerful universal word expressed throughout the year. Particularly during the Jewish High Holidays, the fervent prayer for a more just and peaceful world, within our personal lives as well as for all humanity, we wish for "Shalom" in our prayers and Jewish New Year greetings. Surrounding the word Shalom are olive branches, as metaphors for peace. Pomegranates, with its many red seeds, remind us of the
613 commandments in Torah. In Jewish folklore and tradition, crowns can manifest God being the "King of Kings". Together, all the symbolic elements create a beautiful message and hope for Shalom-peace.
