Two words engraved twice, like two friends, equally balanced and complementary to one another are inscribed upon a circulo of perfect symmetry and proportion. It is based on the letter O created by the 15th century French typographer Claude Garamond. Revered for the clarity, elegance and proportion of his type styles, his design translates beautifully to a piece of jewelry. The engraving has been added in a totally different but complementary modern cursive script from the hand of Josephine Hopper, wife of the American painter and printmaker, Edward Hopper.
