This blue & white seder plate is made in the traditional ceramic village of Bat Trang, just outside of Hanoi, Vietnam. The pieces have been formed in a mold, and then hand-painted with glaze. Bat Trang village is famous for its white clay pottery decorated with blue motifs, called hoa lam in Vietnamese. Currently more than 1,000 households are involved in ceramics production in Bat Trang, which translates literally as "village of bowls." The Seder plate has six small bowls measuring 3" diameter; plate is 12" diameter x 1.5" high.
